5 Holiday party outfits
With Thanksgiving just around the corner, the holiday season is officially here, filling our calendars with a whirlwind of festive celebrations. This is truly my favorite time of year—it’s all about coming together, giving gifts and of course, dressing up.
To avoid the stress of last-minute outfit planning, I’ve curated inspiration for the perfect looks to match your social life. Whether it’s a glamorous black-tie gala, a laid-back office party, or a chic cocktail soirée with friends, These outfits are modern, playful, and undeniably polished.
Below, I’m sharing five party-ready looks that strike the perfect balance between chic and easy to recreate. From dazzling holiday dresses to on-trend skirts, there’s something here to help everyone sparkle this season.
Sequin skirt + sweater + high boots + leather jacket
Style tips:
Wear sheer black tights for an added layer of warmth.
The leather jacket should be black and minimal with little to no hardware so there isn’t too much going on. Remember, a good rule of thumb is to pick one standout piece in your outfit and in this case it’s the skirt. The leather jacket makes this feel unexpected and cool. A bit more edgy and I love that paired with a statement glam skirt. However, a fur coat is also chic or a black blazer if you want to be understated.
I love the contrast between the silver metallic skirt but you could also do black or some type of color like red.
The knee high boots make this look edgy and I love that mixed with a casual sweater and sexy sequin skirt (you know I live for a good juxtaposition) but you can also do a kitten heel or just a simple black pump.
Blazer + lace pants
Style tips:
Choose a cinched black blazer or belt an oversized blazer.
Wear a black lace bralette underneath or a simple thin strap tank.
Choose a blazer that covers your bum.
Wear black undergarments like Skims or Spanx. I’ll link some.
Simple gold jewelry is classic, but you could also do silver statement earrings.
I love the idea of a red lip with this outfit.
Sheer lace dress + high boots
Style tips:
Lean into the modern boho with effortless waves and chunky gold jewelry. Very Chloe girl, love it!
Make it Holiday by adding black sheer tights and black knee high boots.
A bow in your hair with red nails and a red lip would be stunning and add a little “color”.
If you are going sheer dress, I would wear a white silk slip dress underneath that’s the same length as the dress so it looks like one piece.
Choose a cropped brown fur jacket and a mini fringe clutch to bring the look full circle.
Metallic gold top + jeans + metallic heel
Style tips:
Any metallic top or accessories will do. I love this metallic gold sweater with jeans for a casual work party or dinner. I like dark denim vs a trouser or a skirt because there is great juxtaposition pairing this statement glam sweater with something casual like a jean. I love, love, love any statement top with jeans. ALL ABOUT THE JUXAPOSITIONS :)
Choose a darker denim. No holes. Straight leg or baggy.
Definitely wear it with gold jewelry and I love a metallic heel with this to make it extra festive. However, a black boot or pump works too. I like when my accessories match my shoes so I would wear a black bag with black shoes in that case. Still wear gold accessories.
Other ways to make it even more festive: metallic eyeshadow (but in an understated way - like a super barely there minimal gold) a red lip (but don’t do those two together, pick one), red nails, a bow in your hair.
Sequin midi skirt + sweater + patent heels
Style tips:
Going full red monochromatic! The key here is blending the same tones of red. So, all of the reds DO NOT need to match.
I prefer gold because it’s warm and such a statement but maybe you are a cool toned gal! Silver is beautiful too.
Stack 2 or 3 bracelets on one wrist. If you wear a necklace or earrings, keep them simple since your bracelets will be the statement.
A cropped sweater works best in this case and I prefer that the sweater hits right at the skirt waistline! A cardigan is also classic and cute.
When you do tone on tone it’s important to mix in texture. So, cashmere sweater, snakeskin bag, patent leather heels, sequin skirt — different textures but still same tones.. It creates interest and dimension and keeps the outfit from looking flat. Think - what is the statement in my outfit or does it need one? In this case it’s the sequin skirt. So, I would not do a sequin bag or sequin accessories. Keep them simple but tonal!
